Clients do not need a referral to access services through Kit Benefits. Parents can discover and book providers directly through the platform.
Clients come to Kit through:
Direct sign-ups from parents and families
Referrals from healthcare professionals and community partners
Employer and insurance-sponsored programs
Gifted memberships and contributions from loved ones
Kit helps match clients with providers based on their needs, preferences, location, availability, and area of expertise.
-
Kit Benefits uses a collaborative rate model. We provide recommended rate ranges for each provider type (eg. Psychologist, RCC, Lactation Consultant, Doula) that reflect both current market averages and the premium value of our integrated postpartum service.
-
Providers are paid quickly and securely through direct deposit via the Kit platform. Unlike many marketplaces, providers retain 100% of their service rates—Kit does not deduct commissions or fees from provider earnings.
We believe highly specialized postpartum professionals deserve fair and competitive compensation, which is why our provider payment model is among the most provider-friendly in the industry.
Kit Benefits also handles billing, invoicing, payment processing, and client receipts, allowing providers to focus on delivering exceptional care rather than administrative tasks.
-
Yes — one of Kit Benefits’ main goals is to remove the marketing burden entirely.

You simply show up and provide care.

No. We welcome providers from across Canada, provided they are able to offer virtual services to families in the regions they are licensed or certified to practice in. This may include licensed mental health providers, IBCLCs, professional coaches, registered social workers, sleep consultants, certified doulas, and other professionals who provide virtual care. Some services, such as prenatal education, virtual doula support, sleep consulting, return-to-work coaching, lactation and feeding support and newborn care education, can often be provided virtually and support families across provinces; particularly British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba.
